"So I had my first (and hopefully last) flat tire ...at speed!!!
It was the rear that went and I got off the freeway safely.
So what to do next?
I call the good folks at my dealer;"Macomb Powersports", figuring they would know which towing services are good for bike recovery.
The kicker here is this...Instead of giving me the number of a respectable towing company and sending me on my way...They came out to get me themselves!!!!!!!
Not only that but when they showed up they brought their Box trailer.
Talk about customer service!!!!!!
But it gets better. I was downtown when I lost the tire.....22 miles away, and they only charged me 20 bucks to turn what had become a pretty lousy day into one of the best in recent memory.
Everyone complains about dealer service quality and pricing on the KawasakiVersysforum.com, But NOT ME!!!
I brag about "Macomb Powersports" every chance I get.
Thanks to everone for being there for me.....YOU CATS ROCK!
PS...The bike (a 2009 Versys BTW) was due (17k on the clock) for a tune-up etc...so they kept the bike for a few extra days and when i got my "V" back it felt AMAZING! (and there price on a replacement 'Conti Road Attack 2' was very competitive with 'web' prices). One stop shopping...who could ask for anything more.
A really big heart felt 'hats off' to everyone in the service department for taking such good care of my baby.
Macomb Powersports has earned my trust time and time again.
Sales, Parts, Service, and just plain ole 'kindred spirits'.
